The metallurgical electric hoist is an indoor lifting equipment and one of the most commonly used mechanical equipment in metallurgical work. Due to the small size of the metallurgical electric hoist, it mainly relies on the I-beam track on the roof to operate. Therefore, its track needs to be inspected regularly to avoid wear or obstacles on the track, which will affect the smooth production.
When the track of the metallurgical electric hoist is worn, you must first understand the wear situation to see if it is worn on the side of the track or the front. The ways to deal with wear in different places are different.
① The diameter deviation of the electric hoist trolley is large, causing the trolley to run skewed on the I-beam track.
② The parallel deviation of the driving wheel hole of the trolley is large, causing the trolley to run unbalanced.
③ The concentricity deviation between the driving wheel, and the driven wheel axis of the car is large, causing the car to run unevenly.
Solution:
(1) If this serious rail-gnawing phenomenon occurs, the electric hoist trolley should be replaced with an electric hoist trolley that meets the standards, and the trolley should be checked to run smoothly without swinging after installation.
(2) Measure the damaged I-beam track. When the wear of the flange width is not greater than 5% of the original size, repair is not required. However, at this time, the lateral gap between the flange and the track must be readjusted according to the standard requirements.
(3) When the wear amount on the side of the flange is greater than 5% of the original size and less than 10 mm, repair it by welding the reinforcement plate under the I-beam flange.
① Wear and tear caused by long-term use.
②Irregular use, such as tilting or applying a reaction force in the running direction, causing the trolley to idle at a local position on the track.
③When lifting a large load, if the trolley brake adjustment is too tight, it will cause the trolley to slip when the workpiece shakes, resulting in track wear.
④The corrosive environment of open-air operations will accelerate the wear of the track tread.
Solution:
(1) Inspect and measure the worn I-beam track. When the tread wear is less than 10% of the original size and no other damage is found, repair is not necessary, but the cause of the wear should be found and supervision should be strengthened during use.
(2) If the measured tread wear reaches or exceeds 10% of the original size, the flange’s load-bearing capacity has not reached the original design load-bearing capacity, so it needs to be repaired.
