The electromagnetic crane is one type of crane equipment with electromagnets as lifting slings. • This procedure applies to the safe technical operation of an electromagnetic suction cup.
• The worker should carefully and completely implement the magnetic crane under the safety technical operation requests.

Safety technical operation instructions

Requests for the operator

• The operator shall understand the safety operation procedures and grasp the relevant precautions.
• The operator shall understand the basic structure and function of the lifting electromagnetic suction cup, and carefully study the “operation manual of DC lifting electromagnet” before an operation.
• The operator shall be able to understand the function of crane safety equipment and grasp the corresponding general knowledge of hoisting work.

Precautions and operation requirements before starting work

• It is necessary for workers to wear safety helmets, anti-smashing shoes, protective glasses, and other labor protection articles.
• The important component parts need to be checked out before work:

① Check whether the electric hoist works and whether the steel wire rope is defective or damaged;

② Check whether the remote control operation button symbol is in accordance with the crane action;

③ Check whether the brake works;

④ Check whether there is abnormal noise and oscillation when the lifting and working organization is working empty;

⑤ Check whether the hook pulley block is abnormal;

• Before using the lifting electromagnetic suction cup, you should ensure that it is power off firstly. Then, gradually put down the hook of the electric hoist, connect the cable connector (insert and lock the screw), and finally hang the hook of the electromagnetic suction cup to the lifting chain of the electric hoist.

 Precautions and operation requirements when starting work

• After confirming that there is no abnormality in the equipment, press the start key to turn on the main power supply and gradually raise the lifting electromagnetic suction cup. The lifting height from the ground shall not exceed 50 cm.
• When you raise the lifting electromagnetic suction cup above the designated drop hammer placement address, you shall put it down slowly to let the base of the lifting electromagnetic suction cup contact with the upper surface of the drop hammer. Then, press the one key of the remote control to energize the lifting electromagnetic suction cup and generate magnetic force.
• After confirming that the lifting electromagnetic suction cup absorbs the falling hammer (if it is not firmly absorbed, please put it down and lift it from the head), operate the electric hoist to translate and rise slowly. At this moment, the lifting height shall not be higher than 50cm.
• When the lifting electromagnetic suction cup and drop hammer move directly above the required crushed goods (i.e. straight above), first place the protective net in the crushing area to avoid the splashing of goods during crushing, then operate the electric hoist to start rising. At this moment, the rising height shall not exceed 5m.
• After confirming that the lifting electromagnetic suction cup and the drop hammer are above the required broken goods, press the two keys on the remote control to power off the lifting electromagnetic suction cup and let the drop hammer fall freely.
• Repeat the operation process of 2.3.2 ~ 2.3.5 until the goods move to the specified requirements.

Precautions and operation requirements after work

• After the crushing completed, the lifting electromagnetic suction cup shall be firmly absorbed by the falling hammer. Then, operate the electric hoist to move it to the fixed address. At this moment, the lifting height shall not be higher than 50 cm.
• Press the two keys of the remote control to put down the drop hammer.
• Place the lifting electromagnetic suction cup at the designated address.
• Press the stop key of the remote controller to power off the lifting electromagnetic suction cup, disconnect the cable connector (loosen and pull out the screw), and finally remove the chain link of the electromagnetic suction cup from the hook of the electric hoist.
• Hang the hook on the cable connector on the hook of the electric hoist and rise slowly; Stop after rising to a safe height, press the stop key of the remote control, that is, turn off the main power supply and finish the operation.

Safety precautions

• After being electrified, it is necessary to fall on the electromagnetic sucker.
• Lifting electromagnetic suction cups and drop hammers are only allowed to being used to break commodities and shall not be used for other purposes.
• Electromagnetic suction cups can’t be on wet ground, let alone in the water.
